Hidden little gem!

This book had more depth than I expected! The characters were likable and their stories were relatable. I like how they found their way to each other and how much they really needed each other but didn't know it. I only expected a light romance, but was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the story and characters.

Decent storyline, excellent narration and good amount of action. I just have a hard time with the age and medical condition of the John character and all that he is able to accomplish. One minute he's having issues and the next, he's not missing any shots and barely getting a scratch on him. But I liked it enough to order the next book and find out what happens next. And I do recommend ordering this book.

I really enjoyed the whole series.

This was well written, engaging and kept me vested in the characters until the very end. It was very graphic and gory at times with the descriptions of some things that occurred. Don't listen to this while eating! Well done and I will look for other books by this author.

It started a little slow, but once it got going it was really good. Another good book from MHC. Thank you for all the years of great mysteries that took me out of my world for just a little while. You are appreciated and you will be missed. ❤️

Worth a listen

It's a little slow in the beginning, but quickly picks up. Good story that leaves room for your imagination to think about a sequel. The characters are relatable .

I didn't expect to enjoy this book so much. Yes its YA but it explores an alternative after life that I found interesting. And unfortunately, I lost a family member at a young age to cancer so it's nice to think that maybe, just maybe she might have had an option like this after she passed. This is a fun quick read and I recommend it as something light, but also something that makes you think a little deeper. It reminds you to not take any day for granted and to show your appreciation for your loved ones while they are still here.
