Great characters, fun dialogue, solid storyline and a fresh take on magic in the modern world. R.C. Bray delivers as usual with a top notch performance.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The narration was good and the artist did well. The only real issue was when he spoke as a young girl. He did men and women fine, but the girl was sqreaching.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The overall premise was unique and interesting. The story arc was good. The execution simply fell short.

Any additional comments?

The main character suffers from memory loss and the story emulates that. There are jumps and holes that simply make the story confusing. It comes together in the last 15 minutes, but there are too many jumps and coincidences to really support suspension of disbelief.

Jenny Lawson reveals a lifetime of battles with insecurity, mental and physical illness challenging you not to laugh out loud. Her insights speak to our inner voices (which aren't on any time delays) weaving sadness and humor throughout.
