This book really nails wholesome slice of life fantasy. The final payoff for this entry is so dang sweet, I just can't. Highly recommended

Solid book with a good backstoried MC

Not sure how to word that better, but I like how learning about mc's past helps inform of his motivations. It's unique in a way that definitely improved the story.

Those glimpses into his troubled past giving us layers to a character that you don't always see in this subgenre full of self inserts. Definitely gonna be reading more of this series

Read this when it came out and loved listening to it now. Ceb knows how to write great stories. The MC is so distinct, the world is so unique and interesting.

Plus the man writes smart. I mean, I have had to read thru some of his stories a few times to pick up on things I missed or didn't understand previously. They're always good entertainment. Can't wait for more.

Great story, definitely would love more

I love wordplay so when I saw the title when the book dropped, I had to get it.

Narrator does a great job and the story was very interesting (yes I have been playing a lot of tomb raider lately and can see some parallels)

Love the 2 main characters and I think they were both written fairly well.

More smut than I was expecting and definitely the best kind (which for me is good), but not much more than the average book in this subgenre. I'm unsure if there would be a sequel, but I would absolutely NOT complain

Overall, solid story, love how this author is growing and writing

I never thought i'd see the day where I wanted to skip past the smut for the drama. Oh my god, what a good job from the author to make me almost skip the dirty stuff because i wanted to see how Maddie clapped back. Sooo worth it, can't wait to see how the next installment goes. Also there's a good amount of fun to be had in this installment besides the drama, but that was soooooooo goooooooooooood

Next installment in this series keeps the story so interesting.

I was hooked on this story more than any other in the series. I loved the pacing and was always wondering what was gonna happen next. Read the book in print in 2 days and couldn't wait to binge it on audio when it came out.

A great continuation

Series continues strong. I'm amazed at the author's ability to find new and interesting ways to expand on a story while it focuses on different characters.

Each entry focuses on a new group of people that you will recognize from previous entries. Side characters become the main characters. Its not so different to be disjointed. I believe the author's intention was that you could read these in any order. The nods to the other books are there to build on what was written before, but it is done better than a lot of other stories that blatantly insert 'HEY YOU, REMEMBER THIS THING?'

The worldbuilding keeps growing as you learn more about the state of the world and the story remains great. The characters and their relationships with those around them are the driving force behind why I find this series so compelling

The book/series is seriously some of the best writing in this genre. The characters are borderline real for how well they are crafted. The world building is intriguing. The conflict always has you engaged and the narration is very good.

If you are even close to on the fence about whether or not to give this series a listen/read. Do it. You will not be disappointed

Hilarious and well done

Picked this one up after the author made a silly reddit post announcing its release. Made me chuckle enough to give this one a try and let me say, its fantastic.

Not many authors in the Gamelit/LitRPG genre can do intentional comedy. This book excels at it and still has the ability to come back to a serious tone. The narration also perfectly captured the ridiculousness of this book's whole story. He did an amazing job with the sarcasm and repetition that is common when narrating game elements. The bloopers were a nice inclusion too. I love hearing those in books when they have them.

If you like LitRPGs this is worth getting. I guarantee you will laugh as much as I did and that alone is definitely worth it
