Historia
Viktor Orlov had a longstanding appointment with death. Once Russia’s richest man, he now resides in splendid exile in London, where he has waged a tireless crusade against the authoritarian kleptocrats who have seized control of the Kremlin. His mansion in Chelsea’s exclusive Cheyne Walk is one of the most heavily protected private dwellings in London. Yet somehow, on a rainy summer evening, in the midst of a global pandemic, Russia’s vengeful president finally manages to cross Orlov’s name off his kill list.

Focus on Action & Suspense rather than Politics!
Revisado: 08-26-21
Another entertaining novel however in my opinion the author was much too preachy regarding political issues in the last few chapters, even if I might agree with some of his perspectives.

Not as Great as Previous Novels
Revisado: 08-02-18
Interesting story, but a few chapters went into far too much excruciating detail about the past history of some of Gabriel’s adversaries.

Disappointing Sequel
Revisado: 01-17-17
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
After listening to all of the other books in the series, this one is very disappointing. The plot nor characters are very well developed, with the writer just seeming to go through the motions by moving quickly from one scene to the next and repeating the same phrases throughout.
Would you recommend The Midnight Bell to your friends? Why or why not?
No, worst book in the series.
What does Michael Page bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Great accents in an attempt to make this book sound better than it is.
Did The Midnight Bell inspire you to do anything?
To no longer read any more books in this series.
