Historia
There may be no tidy solutions or pithy answers to life’s big challenges, but Michelle Obama believes that we can all locate and lean on a set of tools to help us better navigate change and remain steady within flux. In The Light We Carry, she opens a frank and honest dialogue with listeners, considering the questions many of us wrestle with: How do we build enduring and honest relationships? How can we discover strength and community inside our differences? What tools do we use to address feelings of self-doubt or helplessness? What do we do when it all starts to feel like too much?

Revisado: 02-24-23
I loved this book because it does the first work. That is thinking then the other steps come in the planning and strategy. Finally the adventure of executing the plan and navigating pitfalls and traps. Michelle thanks for writing this book. This is a lot more thought provoking than “Becoming “

Intense suspense
Revisado: 10-23-21
White knuckle nerves bundled on top of I can’t stop reading this. Missed a few things cause I was so involved.
Characters so real that it’s hard to believe they were imagined
Heroines and hero’s working on the crime of the century.
Crimes that went unnoticed unless you knew where to look. Henoous in nature and gruesome precision that makes you wonder if you are on someone’s list
A must read if you appreciate mystery. Sometimes the hunter gets captured by the game

One Book You Really Need To Read
Revisado: 08-25-21
If you want a really good read, that rewards the time you invested with dividends this is that read.
A rush of freshness that gives the reader new perspectives in a genre that usually does not veer away from the routine end of world apoplectic view of humanity faced with extinction.
The Four Myths indulges the reader with character involvement that makes you care enough to make time to read/listen and follow every nuance, lead, clue, warning and discovery along the way.
The Four Myths is all in from the very first words you hear from master narrator Ed Romanoff. He gives voice to every character in a way that makes him just as much a part of the book as each intriguing character.
Everything in this story is a part of the story the book, itself, is a part of the story, each character and their relationship to the Myths, and the epic journey we join is a part of the story and yes, I became a part of the story myself, when I found myself using quotes and referring to life lessons learned along the way through The Four Myths.
Hats off to Robert Reisler for a story well told, and thanks for involving us. I have read and beginning my re/read with this recommendation. Read/listen and be rewarded. You heard it from me Will Williams follow me on Instagram @masterbarberwms

Easy Rawlings makes it better everytime
Revisado: 02-23-21
This book is another teaching about what you will and will not do under pressure. Easy is all of us. Except he has the tools, experience, and expertise to deal in and out of the system.
Easy is a good guy that gets bad reviews from bad guys in and out of uniform that tamper with his ideas of what is right, wrong or just plain stupid.
His moral compass is again on display as this single father of non-bio children maneuvers in and out of the lives of Los Angelenos.
Always he brings light to the dark mystery with the clever investigation, quick fist, blazing guns, patience and persistance. Blood Grove provided me with the respite I needed from the everyday political turmoil, the hassle and hustle of the stock markets, and the relentless pandemic.
I welcomed Easy and a nice drink with a great smoke. Thank goodness I could turn off the TV I read and recommend it

Needed Reading
Revisado: 02-23-21
Looking at history is realizing that it is her story as well. Black women have provided guidance, blood and sweat and continue to guide the trajectory of the United States. Whether is pro-active or reactive Black women are the catalyst for change. Black women are also the muscle in resistance.
This book takes a look at some names you will know and readily recognize while others may be new but no less important. Thjs amazing walk through history/herstory will enlighten and teach and of course change your mind with reinforcements about how we got to this moment and who got us here

A Natural Pick Me Up Must Listen
Revisado: 02-02-21
Okay, I have been a Common fan ever since he was one of Chitown's up and coming performers. I thought I knew about his life and the lessons they held for all of us. I have a deep Common library that chronicles his evolution and revolutions in his musical life.
However, Bluebird has me on a new high. I know all the songs and they take on a whole new meaning and level of understanding with this listen to.
Its drama and spoken word, its music, poetry, and life. You will find many happy hours with Bluebird. It is always on when I take a driving trip. Thanks, Common

If I had a daughter I wish her to possesses the tenacity and finesse of Morgan. I read her first book and walked away thinking how brilliant and brave to share so much.
Now I’m opened mouthed in awe at the length to which she will go to unearth her/our truth
Her perspectives on events I have lived through or witnessed first hand helped me see with fresher eyes. Examine with a wiser heart and hope renewed faith that the post Civil Rights Era is in more than capable hands. Morgan you are my /our daughter warrior and we are comfortable with you. Thanks for this book. You are at this moment and in moments to come among the greats.
