This book has been on my radar for years, but I never made the move until now. This is one of the most well-rounded and sustainable health plans I have encountered. I am glad I finally made the choice to read it.

I couldn't put this book down, and I'm not a fan of fiction ... but this one really got me. Coming from an abusive childhood, with hints of religion, polygamy, rape, and distrust, I could relate to the mindset portrayed in the main character, Angel. Being able to read into her thoughts gave voice to my own thoughts. For years, I could not understand why I responded to people the way I do, unable to trust, and my inability to communicate my deepest needs or thoughts. But Angel's thoughts were like reading my own. This book was like food to my hungry soul.

I have read this book twice now;.once after my 1st year, and again after my 3rd year. I find it to be a necessary read for new teachers, whether it's your 1st or 5th year.
