Princess Liana had planned to consign herself to a life a celibacy in the Goddess' temple, but when drought fever kills her parents and makes her sister queen, her destiny is no longer her own. An ancient prophecy says the rains will come if she will lay with the King of the Daliki. The Daliki are a nomadic desert people whose lives are so hard, they celebrate pain. Their king is a fierce leader, and even more demanding in bed - he expects Liana to submit to the Daliki way, where pleasure is always tinged with pain.

It's very short, which is nice if you want something sexy without investing into a long story.

Princess Liana, although I preferred her narrator voice to any of the characters.
