What made the experience of listening to Steam the most enjoyable?

The quality of the production and as usual, Ms. Dalton's writing - fun characters and great humor throughout her stories :-)

What was one of the most memorable moments of Steam?

Brodey pushing the bad guy off the cliff, with the guy's scream echoing on the way down, then hearing the same bad guy's angry screech moments later after he shifts into cockatrice form as Brodey tries to free Lina. Funny and heart pounding at the same time!

What about Veronica Heart’s performance did you like?

I like how she does different character voices - male and female. Ms. Heart has improved a lot over time - sometimes as the narrator's voice, she's sometimes alittle too stoic but definitely better at not hanging onto words like she used to in the past. But character voices are always well acted.

What made the experience of listening to Gay Romance: Mated by Three Rough Gay Alpha Musketeers the most enjoyable?

Just how great this story was written! It is soooo funny and engaging! "Adults don't cry...they drink" Hilarious! If you ever wanted an erotica story that has a great storyline and not just lots of sex (but has that by the boatload, no worries!), you will definitely enjoy this story!

What did you like best about this story?

That it has a great premise and is a more fleshed out story than most other R.P. James stories. Most of his stories are very short. This one actually took the time to have a back story on how these 3 friends became 3 modern day Musketeers, and then detailed all the fun times they have together.

There is straight male/female sex, foursomes, fivesomes, gay - all in one story ! And all the characters are likeable and some you can even relate to.

What about Veronica Heart’s performance did you like?

I liked her styling for the story - she had a tongue-in-cheek way of narrating the words.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

LOL all over the place!

Hope the author will continue this trend on being creative with his storytelling!

Horrible premise - no sex scenes and unrealistic!

Seriously? You can tell a foreigner wrote this story. No basis for reality - a drug addict who in only 8 weeks gets off the drugs AND gets her son back instantly?? She has a car accident and is released from the hospital 'with stitches and bruises all over her body' plus a broken arm in only a few hours??

Plus the interplay between the 3 people was ridiculous. The one sex scene between the 3 had instant gratification - they came instantly 'all at once', changed positions and instantly came again! No foreplay - nothing!

Returning it to get my credit back. There are better written shorts here on Audible.

Even better than the 1st book!

The narration was much better than the first book - though Ms. Evers repeats some phrases used in the first story, 'Enamored' is an even better written story. I really enjoyed Roman's trip to Japan, and learning about 'shibari' - that was the most sensual, hot scene I've ever read or in this case, heard in any story!

Ms Padovan improved considerably with her narration style the second time around. I'll definitely be getting the next one in the series!

Ignore beginning - it gets better!

Silliest beginning lines of any story! What a nightmare to say that first sentence - 'Sunlight streamed thru the large arched windows casting elongated shadows across the expansive floor of Grand Central Station in the heart of Manhattan'. I've read the story and always thought that first sentence was the weirdest ever written. And I agree with one reviewer - the author tries to cram too much info in the first few paragraphs (in a sudo, poetic way), that should have been brought out in a more leisure fashion as the story progressed.

And to tell the narrator to rush through lines that needed more finesse is pretty dumb, but at least the narrator gets smart and slows it down for the rest of the story. Maybe Audible will allow the beginning to be redone and production re-released, like 'Fifty Shades of Grey' was? (hint, hint ;-))

Get beyond the first couple of minutes of silliness, and the story gets way better and so does the narration. It is a tightly written story and I like that it didn't drag on and on - plus the humor is an added bonus. It made it more enjoyable than just a 'slam bang, thank you, ma'am' type of story.

4 stars overall :-)
