Historia
Jared Kushner was one of the most consequential presidential advisers in modern history. For the first time, he recounts what happened behind closed doors during the Trump presidency. Few White House advisors have had such an expansive portfolio or constant access to the president. From his office next to Trump, senior adviser Jared Kushner operated quietly behind the scenes, preferring to leave the turf wars and television sparring to others.

A very pleasant surprise
Revisado: 02-13-23
I planned to just skim the book. I wasn’t sure I even wanted to do that. I quickly discovered, however, I was meeting a young man I didn’t really know. I appreciate his honesty in summing up four very meaningful years in the life of this great country. This was one the the rare books I hated to see end. Thanks for the ride.

The Vision of the Anointed

Historia
The Vision of the Anointed is a devastating critique of the mindset behind the failed social policies of the past thirty years. Thomas Sowell sees what has happened not as a series of isolated mistakes, but as a logical consequence of a vision whose defects have led to disasters in education, crime, family disintegration, and other social pathology. In this book, "politically correct" theory is repeatedly confronted with facts-and sharp contradictions between the two are explained in terms of a whole set of self-congratulatory assumptions held by political and intellectual elites.

Historia
Few politicians have risen to national prominence as quickly as Marco Rubio. Here is the full story of his unlikely journey. Florida Senator Marco Rubio electrified the 2012 Republican National Convention by telling the story of his parents, who were struggling immigrants from Cuba. They embraced their new country and taught their children to appreciate its unique opportunities. Every sacrifice they made over the years, as they worked hard at blue-collar jobs in Miami and Las Vegas, was for their children. Young Marco grew up dreaming about football, not politics.

Can't wait to hear the rest
Revisado: 06-27-12
If you could sum up An American Son in three words, what would they be?
Inspiring, inspiring, inspiring!
What other book might you compare An American Son to and why?
Reagan In His Own Hand...Both are chock full of logic and inspiration.
What does Marco Rubio bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I can hear the earnestness...the words ring true.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I could not afford that luxury, but I can't wait to get back to it.
Any additional comments?
For the pessimists among us who worry about the future, Marco is a bright shining light that radiates hope.
