Historia
Jack Dutton died in the dark. Why? Who hated him enough to kill him? Why had he made a list of gemstones and their prices? What was he guilty of? Dutton had been a handsome war hero, but tragedy surrounded him, and his nature had always been unpredictable. When Lennox and Swift begin peeling away the layers of deceit, they uncover some vile secrets, secrets that have already led to Dutton's murder, and it's not long before there's another.

well rounded narration of a fully engaging storyline!
Revisado: 01-25-25
I truly enjoy the fact that in today's society where nothing seems to be taboo, these stories are true to their timeframe. People are horrified by murder, sex is NOT a table talk subject and it isn't a distraction from the story which doesn't need that kind of element to make the story interesting. Murder is. ever genteel and it is always something that should horrify us. I love the fact that I don't have to skip over sex or treatment of death as blase to search for the real mystery of the story. The mystery is the story. The information given about the characters allows us to come to know them and how they came to the values that shape their ideas and actions. Thank you Karen and Sam for the great story and perfect narration. You really are a great team!

Historia
It’s a classic, manor house, mystery-within-a-locked-room-mystery for Anty Boisjoly when a death is foretold by a mystic that Anty’s sure is a charlatan. But when an impossible murder follows the foretelling, Anty and his old ally and nemesis Inspector Wittersham must sift the connivance, contrivance, misguidance, and faith in pseudoscience of the household and its haunted history before the killer strikes again.

I am an Anty devotee and this tale of mystery and adventure is a great example of the wit and wisdom that is Anty. If you have read the other Anty books then you know how greatly entertaining it is to read the stories. If you haven't read the Anty stories, dive in and enjoy!

I like this series because of the integrity of each character to act as each character would act. Lennox doesn't try to have all the answers, Swift isn't perfect but their characters are unwavering. The narration is impeccable, the voice of each character is now in my mind as I read new book and listen when the audiobook is released. I have truly enjoyed reading and listening to each one of this series of books.

Historia
In The Case of the Case of Kilcladdich, golden-age gadabout Anty Boisjoly travels to the timeless source waters of Glen Glennegie to help decide the fate of his family’s favourite ferment, but an impossible locked room murder is only one of a multitude of mysteries that try Anty’s wits and witticisms to their northern limit. Time trickles down on the traditional tipple as Anty unravels family feuds, ruptured romance, shepherdless sheep, and a series of suspiciously surfacing secrets to sort out who killed whom and how and why and who might be next to die.

As were all of the other Anty Boisjoly mysteries, this was a delightful romp. This time Anty travels to solve a mystery regarding two rival highland whisky distilleries. Accompanied by sheep, Anty solves not one but several mysteries and charms even the London-despising policeman and ends a long standing feud. In short, another triumph for P. J. Fitzsimmons and Tim Bruce.

The Priory may look ramshackle in appearance, but Peter, Margaret and Celia are totally charmed by their newly inherited country house. But there's more to The Priory than meets the eye. Left empty for years, hardly a single person has set foot inside, and down in the village, the locals whisper of a ghostly figure that roams the halls.
