Historia
After traveling across the entirety of the Sealance Empire and the deserts of Lowenthal, Larek has returned home to the Kingdom of Androthe to find that the situation is quite different from what he remembered. Not only are there massive Apertures called Calamities consuming large portions of the landscape, but most of his friends are also scattered to locations unknown around the Kingdom. Worse yet, they have no idea who he is because of the Dominion magic used on them before he was transported to the Empire.

Another GREAT book in the series!
Revisado: 08-02-24
This story is a great continuation of Larik and his adventures! The progression of the story had me guessing what would happen next and when I thought I figured it out, there was another curve in the road that started my guessing all over again. As with most LitRPG books there are stat tables that I am sure some listeners trudge through but I love that Jonathan Brooks puts the full tables in a sub chapter so listeners can skip them if they want to and not miss anything in the story. I am looking forward to what comes next! As always, Miles Meili does a great job narrating the book.

Historia
Exposed as a “Fusion prodigy” to the Mages of Copperleaf Academy and the Martials of Fort Pinevalley, Larek struggles with the attention and expectations this label brings. Not only does he need protection against those who may wish him harm, but he also has to contend with the needs of his Professors and the Dean of Copperleaf Academy, who wish to use his abilities to help teach others about his discoveries and to outfit the local Scission Interception Corps with his powerful creations.

Great story with great narration!!
Revisado: 02-11-24
This is the 3rd book in the series and continues to expand the characters. I really relate to Larek in several levels. I love how everytime I thought I saw where the story was going, there was another twist in the story to prove me wrong. For lovers of Jonathan’s Core series, this is much different but totally worth listening to!!
When reading books, the author and story are all that matter, with Audio, the narrator can make a great story even better or extremely painful. Miles Meili is one of those narrators that makes the story better! His is in the top 5 narrators in my opinion and he did not disappoint with this book!!

Fantastic LitRPG story
Revisado: 12-30-23
I love the story of this series. The characters have good depth and as a MMORPG player for years, some of the negatives of that world demonstrated in this story struck a cord for me. The only thing that I felt was a detractor to this series in audio version was the narration. If I never listen to another book by this narrator it will be too soon! A number of the voices were like nails on a chalk board. Specifically the voice used for the stat and character information was horrible. The way they drew out words and pronounced words almost made me stop listening in book one. I am VERY glad I endured the narrator for the sake of the story!
