ノスタルジックな世界観に定評がある城谷歩による怪談。
幼い頃から自身でも不思議な怪体験を数多く持ち、
更に聞き集めた種々の実体験を含めるとその数は数百にも及ぶ。
そうした現代の実話怪談、奇談の中から選りすぐりをお届けする。
内容紹介
「皆を返せ」(30分)
体験者のマキさんが中学生のころ、埼玉県は中川の近くに裕福な高橋君という同級生がいた。
小学生のころから仲良くしていたが、彼が中学1年生の時に野球部部活の最中に体調不良を訴え、
そのまま意識不明で入院することになってしまった。聞けば骨肉腫という病気だったそうだ。
その後も意識は回復せずに半年、一年と年月が流れ、修学旅行の季節、
今度は高橋君の年の離れた弟が交通事故で亡くなってしまう。
父親も近い時期に農作業中に倒れて入院しており家族は散々なことになっていたのだが、
これはどうもただの偶然ではなかったようで……。
「ゴミ箱」(24分)
マサユキさんが今から二十五年ほど前に航空自衛隊に奉職中の岐阜基地の隊舎で体験した出来事である。
六人部屋で起居していたマサユキさんはその晩就寝後にふと物音がして目が覚めた。
何やらガタゴト、ガサゴソいう音で居室のドア付近から聞こえている。
近くにはプラスチック製のごみ箱があり、さてはゴキブリかネズミでも出たんじゃあるまいかと警戒していた。
同室のほかのメンバーも気になって起きだしてきて一人が電気をつけ、
ゴミ箱をひっくり返してみたが中からは紙くずしか出てこなかったそうだ。
この音の正体が後で分かった時マサユキさんはじめ同室の仲間たちは震え上がった。
「小さな沼から」(25分)
体験者は陽子さんという女性である。彼女が高校三年生の時である。
福島県の片田舎で家族で住んでいた家の目の前には小高い丘があり、
その上には地域の神社さんが鎮座していたという。 境内には簡単な遊具が設置してあり子供たちの良い遊び場であったが、
実は参道を上がり切ってすぐわきの木が生い茂っている一区画が難所であった。
背の高いフェンスで囲われた中に直径七、八メートルほどの小さな沼があったのだ。 子供たちは危ないから決して近寄らないようにと言われていたその沼ははなれたところから見ていてもどこかゾッとするような異様なものだった。
「母の愛」(23分)
只野さんのお父さんは大変なリアリストで目で見たもの聞いたものしか信じない頑なな人だったと回想する。
六年前に八十八歳で他界されたそのお父さんが生前一度だけどうやら霊体験をしていたことがあった。
只野さんが結婚してお子さんが生まれ、実家を出てアパート暮らしを始めて間もないある日の早朝、
けたたましく家の電話が鳴り響いた。 驚いて電話に出てみると、それが件のお父さんでした。
明らかに動揺し、声を震わせて言うのが「幽霊が出た」というセリフだった。
昔から幽霊などいない、死後の世界など無いと断言していたのに……。
