Annie Adams is unmarriageable since the scandalous activities of her father have become evident. In desperation for a better life she moves to Wyoming to wed a respectable banker seeking a wife and mother for his child. However a brutal crime quickly leaves her a widow and step mother to young Frederick, whom she barely knows.
Will Davies is no stranger to loss and guards his heart well, but as Frederick grieves the loss of his father and his actions threaten his well-being, Will knows he must step in until a decision can be made for Frederick’s future. But despite his best efforts to keep his distance from Annie Will finds himself falling heavily for the new widow.
