Resumen del Editor

Jayme Fredricks had just been released from prison after serving almost a year, for a murder he never committed. He happened to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time and when he was identified for killing a woman he actually had known from the past, he was arrested and thrown in the slammer. He pleaded not guilty to murder and aggravated assault, but was still convicted, on very flimsy, circumstantial evidence.
He was devastated and so was his family, but there was nothing anyone could do. He knew he was innocent, but no one would believe him, all except his best friend, Marnie Paine. Marnie had known Jayme for twenty eight years and absolutely knew he could never hurt anyone, let alone rape or kill them. They had been neighbors and best friends, from when they were kids and hung around together all the time. They ran away once, when they were very young, but got caught and punished for a couple of weeks by their parents. They learned a very big lesson from that stupid move and often laughed about it, to this day!
The other reason Marnie knew Jayme couldn’t kill anyone, was because when he was young, he would rescue hurt or sick birds or ducks, he would nurse them back to health and help them fly away when they were mended. When they were younger, he told her he hated when small animals or any animal for that matter got hurt or severely injured. So, she thought seriously, if he wouldn’t harm an animal or a small bird, why would he harm a human being?
Marnie tried to convince the police of that before his trial, but they were convinced she was just covering for him. Marnie absolutely believed, without a doubt, that her friend Jayme was not guilty and was being railroaded. She was scared for him, knowing he was innocent and that anything could happen to him in jail.
She had to find a way to prove it and get an innocent man out of what she felt was a corrupt, local justice system. When she kept hitting road block after roadblock, she was advised to call Madison Monroe, who they had heard was a great detective.
She did and Madison would search and investigate, until she found the real killer. Read on and see how Madison Monroe finds the answers to all her questions and solves this crazy mystery.
