Acerca de esta escucha

"What is that sound?" Mary shook Adalwolf Dalton awake.

No sooner had she asked than a light from the outside of the house illuminated the bedroom.

Dalton stood up and grabbed his pistol from the drawer. "It’s bad news. It’s the time machine."

Senator James has sent the time machine back to rescue Adalwolf Dalton, only he doesn't want to be rescued. Now, he must figure out how to stop them from building the time machine in the future so they won’t irreparably damage the time line and destroy all their lives.

"It doesn’t work. Without Hitler, the communists come to power. The United States is attacked on all sides. The timeline is a nightmare. No, Hitler must stay alive."

"What about stopping the Holocaust?"

Dalton shook his head. "Far worse things happen to the Jews under the communists."

"I don’t believe that. Listen, come back with me and you can explain everything to them."

Dalton felt Mary come up behind him. He swallowed hard. Senator James had the time machine, he had to stop him, one way or another. "No, this ends here. I can’t let you go back." He pointed the gun at Phillip.

Interesting next book

This is the second book I’ve read/listened to by this author and I look forward to listening to book 1. I’ve previously listened to book 2. I did not have issues understanding book 2 despite, but I feel this book was best listened to in order. I think I would have had too many gaps otherwise. Dalton play a role in this book but he’s not the only character. We have several others building planes, going back in time continually trying to change history or others trying to stop those guys. It’s a lot of back and forth messing with time. Seems to me this would be a realistic outcome of a story like this if it were real.

This is the second book I’ve listened to by this narrator ( William Woelfle ) and I would listen to another. His narration is more reading than performing, yet is still an enjoyable listen. Not all of his character voices are different, but more are than not, and this did not cause any real issues. His narration has improved a bit over the books. His diction clear. I like speeding up books and had no issues increasing this one to 1.75x (which is a little higher than usual). His intake of breath while narrating is noticeable.

There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence or swearing (that I recall).

A fun continuation

This book did a pretty good job of taking care of the little loose threads that have been left through the series. At times it was pretty confusing as to which leg we were in in the trousers of time, but I think things were taken care of fairly well. I see a huge improvement in both writing and narration compared to the others in the series. I still think the dialog was a little too simple at times. And the speaking was still way to slow, but it did seem much more dynamic than in the other books. Once I sped it up, it was fine.

Overall I would rate the book and performance as pretty good (3 stars), and I think the story itself is better than that.

This is a fun set of time travel books, and had some clever content that makes it worth reading.

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for a fair review.

Brings it all together by the end

First off, a different narrator than the last two made a world of difference.
This story spends a lot of time trying to fix the convoluted mess this series has created. Makes for a fast paced enjoyable listen as we work back and forth through time between the different characters both good and bad.
At times the first books can be hard to listen to but the trilogy is worth the trouble.

Out of the Writing Loop!

A Rift In Time: Time Loop Book 3
Author: Clark Graham
Narrator: William Woelfle
Listening Time 4 Hrs. 36 Min.

I always like to preface any reviews I give with this information.
I am a 68 year old female who has been an avid reader since I was around 10 or 11 years old.
I read primarily for pleasure and knowledge. I do a great amount of personal research in areas that interest me.
Writing, Music, Art, Reading, Ancient Civilizations and History, Rocks, Minerals, Crystals, Alternative Spiritual Beliefs, Conspiracy Theories, UFOs, Maps, Pretty much everything interests me.
I read everything I can get my hands on.
I have always been a seeker, and I am the kind of person who needs to have answers. So I read, research, question and learn.

Disclaimer: "This Audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost, in exchange for an unbiased honest review."

This is the 3rd book in the Time Loop series of books. I have listened to all three of them now and as much as I enjoyed the first and second books, I truly did not like this one.
It was very hard for me to sit through a very long 4 Hours and 36 Minutes.

To be completely honest, this book feels like it was a first book written by a very amateur writer. I hate to say that as I truly do like the books and audiobooks I have read/listened to by Clark Graham.

This book is too simple. The plot lines jump around and there is not a real sense of continuity to, or with the story. We have a very large amount of characters in this book who think nothing of killing people and arbitrarily threatening other characters, verbally, telling them they are going to go back in time and kill them when they are children, and things of this nature. It is a very immature book and the characters are very busy having what I call tantrums, screaming and stomping their feet. These are "adult" men who are in positions of power; some military men, and some are professors who seem terrified of standing up for what they believe in.

Most of these people strike me as being psychotic and on the verge of insanity. This entire book consists mainly of time jumping plot lines that the author seems to have used to make the story convenient to write without there being any real satisfactory story in and of itself.

This book feels like it has no real plot and that is too bad. I had really looked forward to seeing a satisfactory ending to this series. My sincere and honest belief is the author should rewrite the entire book. It could be a great book, I think.

Narrator William Woelfle once again stuck me as "overacting" in this audiobook. It may be because he does have a very distinct way of enunciating so very well, and honestly most of us don't do that. That is not a fault to him. But the entire book/audiobook felt 'stilted' and once again I felt that was being "read" to. I did not get caught up in the story and I think the fault lies with both the writing and the narrating in this instant. The narrator also speaks very slowly and once again I had to speed up the recording to a faster setting which made the book easier to listen to.

All in all I was very disappointed with this audiobook. I don't like to do negative reviews but hopefully this review may help the author to decide to do a rewrite.
As to who would enjoy this book/audiobook, possibly a young tween or teenager who is interested in time travel stories. I don't think most adults would find it interesting.
