Love how the story ties with music throughout his life. Absolutely a great book! Wish I would have read it sooner!

Jimmy Buffett, beloved singer and songwriter, sailor and fisherman, the man who lived the free-style, beach dwelling, barefoot walking, rags to riches dream life so many aspired to, has put together a tale of the sea and its various characters in fine style worthy of a good listen. Details of a world so few of us will ever experience in a manner similar and reminiscent of Tom Sawyer. Thank you Jimmy, for all that you have given us over the years...your words will live on forever as you sail on, sailor.

A story of an interesting life of dreamy days, interesting and at time thrilling adventures, suspense and triumph

I strongly recommend this book as a wonderful example of a life well lived and truly interesting, with turns, stops and starts that hold your interest and leaves you seeking to see what adventure waits around the corner.

Very like Buffett's shows... lively, fun! More than a "beach read," it is a romp with plenty of twists and turns.

Loved the characters

I really wonderful escape and adventure. I loved the characters all so interesting. This book makes me want to get on a plane and see every lighthouse in the Caribbean
