The end is almost here, are you ready? A high-tech nightmare. A crippling attack on America and her infrastructure. Are humans in their final days? When a sudden, unexplained spasm of violence rocks the country from coast to coast, when our military is hijacked and the president can’t be found, the survivors will be left to wonder if this is the start of a new world war, or if this is the last chapter of humanity itself. Undercover DEA agent, Fire Dimas, is drowning in problems: an unrelenting job, a difficult marriage and a teenage daughter with suitors of the worst kind.

Rachael Maddox bravely shares her own story of statutory rape and recovery, inviting readers into the possibility that their current sex issues, fears, stunted confidence or self-worth troubles, private addictions or private depressions, or impossible-seeming dreams could in fact be resulting from unresolved sexual trauma. There's a myth that so many women bear the burden of in today's world. The myth is that we're bad for the violations that happen to us as well as the mess of the aftermath of those abuses.

Our lives have become so busy that we are living in a constant state of go, go, go. What did you do last Thursday? What about two weeks ago Monday? Our days are so consumed with emails, telephone calls, errands, status updates, texts, and tweets that entire days go by without one single moment of joy. And we wonder why we are stressed out, anxiety-ridden, tired, walking zombies.

Historia
On November 13, 2015, Antoine Leiris’s wife, Hélène Muyal-Leiris, was killed by terrorists while attending a rock concert at the Bataclan Theater in Paris, in the deadliest attack on France since World War II. Three days later, Leiris wrote an open letter addressed directly to his wife’s killers, which he posted on Facebook. He refused to be cowed or to let his 17-month-old son’s life be defined by Hélène’s murder. He refused to let the killers have their way: “For as long as he lives, this little boy will insult you with his happiness and freedom.”

One of the most recognizable young poets in America, Olivia Gatwood dazzles with her tribute to contemporary American womanhood in her debut book, New American Best Friend. Gatwood's poems deftly deconstruct traditional stereotypes. The focus shifts from childhood to adulthood, gender to sexuality, violence to joy. And always and inexorably, the book moves toward celebration, culminating in a series of odes: odes to the body, to tough women, to embracing your own journey in all its failures and triumphs.

Historia
Magical Negro is an archive of black everydayness, a catalog of contemporary folk heroes, an ethnography of ancestral grief, and an inventory of figureheads, idioms, and customs. These American poems are both elegy and jive, joke and declaration, songs of congregation and self-conception. Focused primarily on depictions of black womanhood alongside personal narratives, the collection tackles interior and exterior politics - of both the body and society, of both the individual and the collective experience.

Historia
The shark attacked while she was snorkeling, tearing through Micki Glenn’s breast and shredding her right arm. Her husband, a surgeon, saved her life on the spot, but when she was safely home she couldn’t just go on with her life. She had entered an even more profound survival journey: the aftermath. The survival experience changes everything because it invalidates all your previous adaptations, and the old rules don’t apply. In some cases survivors suffer more in the aftermath than they did during the actual crisis. In all cases, they have to work hard to reinvent themselves.

Definitely a hit movie soundtrack!
The Time Traveler’s Journal audio by Scott “NASA” Knight, went from a lost in space episode, to hard core lyrics, smoothly transforming into a romantic elegant piece of art, finishing off with a little black history. There wasn’t a dull moment. Full of excitement. The audio effects were amazing. It was very entertaining. I recommend this to anyone looking to uplift their spirit and ready to time travel with the author. Because wherever he went, I was there too.
