Snow. Survival.

Two years ago, the end began.

In 2036, a rapidly destabilizing climate culminated in a worldwide snowstorm that froze the entire planet. Billions are now dead due to starvation, disease, civil unrest, and the plummeting temperatures. What remains of humanity now live in small settlements or isolated makeshift villages, carving out miserable lives in this grim new reality.

Some, like Chris Weston, choose to travel among the vast winter wastelands between the bastions of civilization. In the aftermath of the great collapse, Chris finds himself strangely suited for this new world. Strong, motivated, patient, and already possessing a fair amount of knowledge on wilderness survival, he’s lucky enough to feed the strong urge of wanderlust that grips him despite the new, icebound Earth.

During one such journey through the hinterlands, Chris suddenly finds himself in a bad situation. Injured, robbed of everything but the clothes on his back, and caught in the middle of a worsening blizzard, it's going to take a lot to get out of this one alive.

a great mid apocalypse title where the MC gets robbed from the start and has to start from scratch just using his wits. the relationship between him and the girls is exquisitely written and well done. the narrator's do a phenomenal job bringing everything to life.

this was a great book. The cover artwork was awesome and the character that it represents was awesome!!i greatly look forward to what's next for Chris and his ladies

Pretty good Apocalypse story.

So the earth is all of the sudden in an ice age and everyone has to fend for themselves.
Our MC is a natural wanderer and gets knocked out, robbed and left for dead on the side of a road.
He makes it to a nearby cabin right before a blizzard hits and finds an unconscious woman in the cabin's doorway.
He is a good guy that knows how to take care of himself. So he takes care of this woman. Frees another one from the bad guys that this one was running from and kills most of the bad guys. Then has to take out another group...
It's a pretty good story.
Apparently there's quite a few books in this series so I'm looking forward to when they all come on Audible.
If you like harem Apocalypse stories, this is one of the good ones, you'll like it.

Fun but a bit preachy

Overall this is an enjoyable Post-apocalyptic survival story.
Con:
However there are parts in the dialogue where the MC and sometimes the side characters take an unnecessary amount of time to make convoluted explanations about the action they do or justification for something they would do.
Overall:
Would recommend, looking forward to the next book.

Pretty good story and definitely has a lot of spice. I can wholeheartedly recommend giving it a shot. If you like apocalypse and/or harem books.

heat in the cold

loved the story, the sensual scenes were great and the cold wasteland was the perfect backdrop as well as the survival aspects looking forward to book 2

Great start

Another good book from Misty Vixen. This was a great book one for this series. While some elements of the story are predictable, for me it didn't take away anything has a whole. Very interested to see how this story progresses.

Decent listen

Writing this about halfway through:
Excellent choice in voice actors. Really wanted to like the story, felt a lot like The Long Dark. Decent survival skills, but many of the parts felt really... preachy.
I'd had high hopes, since I loved the authors RAW series, but if the preachy bits keep up I don't think I'll look for the second book.

another great adventure with Misty Vixen

The story starts out great we meet Carl, are wandering hero off on an adventure, till he finds himself in a crash where he helps a beautiful woman, and soon finds another one, while killing bad guy's saving girls the whole hero work at the end of the world. The snow is a big thing almost a character in of itself. Now will admit Misty has a habbit of dragging the ending, but its work making it to the end. the voice actors are great, and they add a bit extra you don't here from the usual audio readers so you'll have fun with that. So if you have a few bucks to spare check out this story.
especially if you want some sexy red heads, and a feisty latino.

Overall, I'm enjoying it but

Many things the author goes into detail or attempt of words trying to explain.
One thing the main character goes into rants and "explanation" is how the character is "good guy" He has a high moral high ground and it can get tedious of the explanation even if we get it's naivety on the main character but you could show through story instead of making (me at least) roll my eyes a lot. Also the main is like I like tall girls/I like short, I'm a boob person/I'm an ass person.. he likes everything and I don't blame him, no one is picky during apocalypse but again we get it. Other than that there is some "conveniently" left loot from people that searched buildings before yea there is luck and skill kinda like fallout games scrounger perks but you could have also gotten creative with crafting or using makeshift items.
The female voice actor does amazing during the "Heated" moments and alright in the average conversation.
