Acerca de esta escucha
The symptoms of drug addiction can often be masked by other problems in a person's life. Drug use becomes an addiction when a person has a compulsive need to use drugs without care or regard for the consequences that might arise either physically or emotionally. There are plenty of signs and symptoms to look for to tell if you or someone you love has a drug addiction.

A Good Introduction to Addiction
Would you listen to Addiction Intervention Strategy Unleashed again? Why?
Once is Enough.
Any additional comments?
A good introduction to someone learning about addiction. If some one wants to learn more about addiction, I recommend the following audio books: this, Recover to Live, A Beautiful Boy, Clean, The Big Book Alcoholics Anonymous, The Little Red Book Alcoholics Anonymous, the Addictive Personality, and Codependent No More for family members of some one with addiction. I'm a family member of an addict, not an addict myself, so some one with the disease may have a differing opinion. If you go through these, you'll have a very good understanding of the disease. A good plan for the family members to help someone get off drugs is to organize an intervention (some interventionists have sliding scales), send them to rehab for 3 months or so, and then a sober living home for a year to a year and a half or so. Family members should see a family therapist with an addiction background, and attend Al-anon or Narconon meetings every week for at least 6 months. Some of the bigger rehabs offer a family week for co-dependents that is worth attending. I hope this helps. Good luck!
