irresistible

I couldn't stop listening. I finished it in two days. listened every spare minute I had. she's so poetic and at times totally weird, but completely intriguing. so many times I connected to her story because she was able to put words to my own experiences. I absolutely loved it and wishes it wasn't over. please make it into a movie!

All The Feels

At times this book was rough and raw, but in the end it’s because of those moments that made it truly great. As a middle aged woman it spoke to me in ways I didn’t know I needed. It tore open feelings I was unaware of. Excellent work.

I feel so seen

I preordered this book on a whim. I had never read anything by the author and I had no idea what the book was about. I just saw in a list of “we’re excited it’s upcoming” and I thought “life’s short. Buy the book”.
I’m a 42 year old middle class woman. I feel so seen. While every aspect of this book doesn’t fit me exactly, this book fits me exactly. Like poetry, it’s beautiful to read/ hear your feelings or thoughts put to words in a beautiful succinct way.
Also it solved the mystery of why I’ve had such bad vertigo since March. 😂😂

I highly recommend this book and I’m recommending it to everyone I know!

Excellent nonsense

I always enjoy both the nonsense and revelations about the mundane that MJ uses to craft her yarns.

How lucky we are to live amongst such a talented human.

I love everything Miranda does, and this novel did not disappoint. Just wonderful. I will listen a second time very soon.

Brilliant, complex, engrossing, shocking

Read by the author in her slow reading and mesmerizing voice which only added to the frenzied, hormone fueled pace of the novel.

One sentence on each page really stood out

I liked how important characters were so complicit in the honesty of situations, relationships, and dealings, coming up in their lives Much of the time I was enthralled by the verbal bravery employed. People stepped up to the truth including the weird parts. I am so glad to have found this point of view. Wish I never finished this book….

Descriptions—in ways I would have never dreamed describing things. And so resonant.

The ending—I’ll have to audit again. Maybe I was multitasking too much. I didn’t get it.
