Great follow up!
This latest book and the conclusion to book 21 is really good. I am so impressed. This book crosses a few genres, mainly mystery/thriller and sci-fi.
The big question everyone has I’m sure after so many people were unhappy after the last book is…. Was it worth the wait? In my opinion it was but to each their own.
I’m not going to go into what this book was about. I’m very frustrated with the way the reviews are being handled these days and I’m not sure how many more I’m going to write if any, who knows. If it does get posted it will probably be on the last page.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the book and thought Jefferson Mays did a great job narrating

Great story!
This was a great story, much anticipated after the last two books. I did not appreciate the narrator's reading. His telling of the last couple has been drab and uninspired, in my opinion. I miss the days of having Rene Auberjonois or Scott Brick tell the tales of Agent Pendergast.
Aside from the performance, this was a definite win for the authors.
I can't wait to see where the next book lands our hero... and Diogenes!

A very satisfying conclusion
More than just part 2 of the proceeding novel, the story brings, if not closure, a satisfying progression of many other subplots and character developments. It almost felt like this could be the beginning, or a transition, to a final arc in the Pendergast universe. Hopefully not though. Looking forward to many more novels. Also, excellent narration on the audiobook.

Character development and then end of an arc.

Pendergast at his best!

Excellent! Bravo!
A perfect conclusion to this particular trilogy. Well done gents! The narrator was excellent. He even recited Latin verse in meter (when you know you know). I am excited to see where the story takes us.

How the dr justified what he was doing
I liked all of it. I wish it would have continued on and on. However, I wish Degusta had a better role than what he had in this book.

A tremendous story. Love the characters!
The back story and the interval were exceedingly rich. The history of the time and events were encompassing and educational. The writing truly transported an individual to another place and time. Truly a Great read. Thank You
