Mc learns about what it means to be a prime alpha. Has harem, no litrpg, no Isekai. Great book, Patrick Dubois and Nina Harmony do a great job.

Amazing

I am really enjoying this series. The mysterious world hidden in the mundane gives all sorts of great stories. The MC is well written and the storyline is pretty good. The description of the academy and various shifters is interesting. Also, animal-girls are awesome. And of course, there is a lot of action, adventure, bantering, and spicy moments involved. I received a free copy to leave an unbiased review. I thought this was an interesting approach to the shifter genre. They skip a lot of the boring class stuff. to work on the storyline. He isn't completely fawened over like most mc. So he has to work. The chaos is also amazing.

Great story

Was a great listen. The story had me engrossed for most of the listen. Can’t wait for the next audiobook.

Ethan Shaw killed it, this is a great series. The culture and community of the shorter world is so well fleshed out. It is easy to fall into this world Ethan has created.

Much more than you might think

Much more in depth plot and character development than I expected at first glance. This was a pleasant surprise and I really enjoyed the two books!

Good story

I thought this book was a very enjoyable listen. The plot and character interactions were great. Nothing really dragged.
The narrators were excellent.
After listening again after the next book in the series came out , I am anticipating another great listen

A story well worth the time to get, excellently written and read for. Can't wait for 3rd installment to come to audible.

Super engaging!

Wow! I couldn't stop listening. This was a good slice of life-ish Academy book. The MC was lost after being thrown into a world he didn't understand and never knew existed. He struggles to find some mental equilibrium in this new world, but his secret is exposed, and he is now faced with even more challenges than just finding his footing. One of the best parts of this book is the romantic/sexual tension between the MC and his possible mates. This is not a FTB book but it's also not super explicit and no one lasts for hours with a seemingly never-ending supply of sploog! The shifter fight scenes were also pretty good.

The one critique I have about the fight scenes in this and many other books is how much the MC doesn't pay attention to HIS fight! Many times during a fight they are analyzing their feelings or commenting on someone else's fight, then they either get hit or have to duck at the last second. As someone who has had many fights, I know that you always deal with your fight first. I think that authors should do a recap of the fight as scene in flashbacks of the other participants in the fight rather than during. That's just my opinion on fight scenes in general. Other than that, the book left me wanting book 3 immediately. No cliffhanger just wanting to stay in this world longer. That's a real endorsement when you want to stay in an author's world and the best recommendation that I can give this book. I didn't want to leave.
