Surviving Irrelevance is a Post Apocalyptic novel based in the Midwestern United States. A secret group of Muslim Terrorists finally succeeds in disabling most of the world with a series of EMP strikes and subsequent devastating biological attacks. After surviving the initial EMP and loss of the power grid, Tim MacDougal gathers like minded members of his family to survive the onslaught of anarchy and chaos. Before the pandemonium of Armageddon can even reach its peak, the group must contend with nuclear fallout and a relentless biological killer. Months later, after emerging from an underground bunker, the group strives to scavenge and survive in a world where they seem to be the only survivors. As they work to gather supplies to and make a new life, they are contacted by another small group of survivors in Idaho who are in desperate need of assistance. After relocating to the Midwest the Speer family lends a hand in building a new existence until Mother Nature decides to intervene.
