The pages of this book contain a thoroughly scriptural answer to how an Omniscient and Sovereign God interacts with the freewill of man.
Where will we wind up by the end of the book? God has given freewill to every man, but He has an Iron will for the Nations. The most Sovereign God is a God who gives individual people the right to choose or reject Him, and yet no freewill choice of any man can change God’s plans.
He is more Sovereign than we give Him credit for. He is more Sovereign than we can explain or comprehend.
And yet, He loves each and every one of us. He wants us to come to Him and to know Him. He meets us where we are, and helps us find our way home. His Word contains answers that help us to know how much He loves us. But His love is a true love. True love cannot be forced. Pure Love can only exist after the crucible of choice. Slavery is not love. Manipulation is not love.
The love God extends to us is based in choice. The love He wants to receive from us is a love that has responded to His love reaching towards us. And His love is extended to the world.
“And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” 1 John 2:2
