Resumen del Editor
An Excerpt from My Best Friend's Billionaire Dad:
Two days later, I gripped a boarding pass in my hand and rolled my suitcase behind me. I consented to have Kim’s dad’s assistant carry my garment bags, but I couldn’t let him take my toiletries bag and other personal items. It wasn’t that I didn’t trust him, but I felt weird about it. He nodded politely when I requested to carry that bag myself.
Kim reminded me several times to let their workers help me. She kept repeating “We pay them, it’s truly okay. We’re not forcing them to do this for no exchange.”
It still felt strange to be waited on so I did my best to follow her lead and only said something when I was genuinely uncomfortable. So far, the morning had gone smoothly. We flew to the cruise port and knew her dad would be meeting us once we boarded. He had been working internationally, setting up new offices for his building as they continued to expand, and had to fly in separately.
“I’ll show you to your deck,” a young stewardess said as she scanned our boarding passes.
I looked at Kim, but her face gave away no trace of surprise. I was certain I heard wrong and the stewardess meant rooms, not deck, but then she guided us through a gigantic room with steps that stretched all the way up several decks with glittering gold trim around the railing on each level. There was a see-through elevator that had to be made out of crystal and gold that glistened like a beacon at one end of the room.
Our guide stepped back to allow us entry into the elevator and my body felt weightless as we drifted upwards. She stuck a key in the panel and hit a few buttons.
“I’ll give you a paper that has instructions on it so you can come and go as you please.”
“Thank you,” Kim and I said in unison.
The elevator came to a gliding stop and I looked behind us to see the expanse of the great room we were now floating on top of. Everyone below us was decked out in formal wear, ready to embark on a luxury cruise. I looked down at my own high-end outfit, and smiled at Kim, thankful she had the foresight to make me get some new clothes.
She squeezed my hand and we stepped out of the elevator onto our own private floor of the ship.
The main living area was filled with oversized furniture and a huge tv above an ornate gas fireplace. If I had been shown this room without knowing I was on a ship, I would have never believed this wasn’t a mansion on land.
Kim looked around the room and grinned, grabbing my hand and jumped up and down. I let myself get lost in the moment and joined her, bouncing and laughing. We turned in a circle and I abruptly stopped when I saw a man standing in the doorway. He had an amused, lopsided smile that made my stomach flutter. He had been watching us and seemed to enjoy what he had seen.
“Dad!” Kim exclaimed and ran to hug him.
My breath caught in my throat and my feet felt like they were glued to the floor. I stared at him and couldn’t believe how handsome he was in person. I had seen pictures, but apparently this guy was not photogenic. He flashed me a huge smile and walked over, extending his hand out. I forced myself to shake his hand and stifled a gasp as our skin touched. I had shaken hands with plenty of people before and I had never felt a jolt like that. It wasn’t electricity, what was it? I pushed the thoughts aside and focused on what he was saying, lest he think his daughter was friends with an idiot.

Historia
Our ability to prevent and reverse these conditions—and feel incredible today—is under our control and simpler than we think. The key is our metabolic function—the most important and least understood factor in our overall health. As Dr. Casey Means explains in this book, nearly every health problem we face can be explained by how well the cells in our body create and use energy. To live free from frustrating symptoms and life-threatening disease, we need our cells to be optimally powered so that they can create “good energy,” the essential fuel that impacts every aspect of our wellbeing.
