Nothing bad ever happens in the peaceful English village of Bridleford—except for murder, that is.

A dear family member has met an untimely end. Now Katy and Grandma Ruby must travel to the Cotswolds of England to sort out legal matters. When they arrive, they’re overwhelmed by the friendly villagers who offer help and moral support.

However, when Katy and Ruby become the target of vandals, they realize that not everyone in town is pleased about their presence.

Is murder next on the list?

GOODREADS

I've been looking forward to this new book since I finished the other three in the Murder Blog mysteries. I have to say it wasn't a let down and well worth the wait. The way the author weaves seriousness and a little light laughs is amazing to me. I especially loved where she talked about the whole emotional support burro on the plane. While I laughed at the whole situation I know it's a struggle a lot of air passengers probably go through.

Something else I enjoyed was the way the brought the English countryside to life with her descriptions of the area of Bridleford. Mrs. Frost Dennis is really an expert at making you feel like you're a part of the story. Bringing to life everything from Katy and Ruby's struggle over the loss of Ruby's sister, to the struggles Katy had the first time she drove a car in England. Finally, I truly enjoy the way she keeps you guessing about who the culprit is until the very near end. This is an author I highly recommend if you love those cozy mysteries.
