Port Warren’s pie contest is always popular, when the judge drops dead it looks like murder. Smudge, the cute French Bulldog will have to sniff out the clues and help owner Melody solve the crime.
Melody Marshal runs a famous bakery with her loyal assistants and lovely Frenchie Smudge. She no longer enters the pie competition having won it for many years. Now she is a judge.
When her fellow judge, Peter Wexler, dies during the tasting, the finger points at the meek librarian. Melody does not believe her friend could have done this and yet the evidence is mounting up.
