With her good friend unaccounted for, Paige Reese, Coroner Ad Hoc for the small seaside community of Cape Charles, fears Nott is now her deceased client. Charred remains and a sense of dread are Paige’s only direction. She must use all of her investigative tools to determine the true identity of the victim.
Tim Hannegan, Paige’s FBI boyfriend, keeps Paige from straying off course as she searches for answers. They soon discover a disturbing trend making its way to their small Eastern Shore town, and Paige finds another source of direction leading up the coast.
Evidence recovered from Nott’s burned home leads to a drug trafficking ring. When a local senior citizen armed with explosive power gets involved, Paige and Tim have a new mystery to solve.

A Pity to Listen, as the Plot is Interesting
The story is decent, but I found the narrator's magnetic voice hard to tolerate. Eith a hman voice it may be even good
