Have you listened to any of Cassie Fields’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

First one by her. Excellent narration. Her characters were all easy to distinguish and the story was really easy to get sucked into because her reading was super easy to listen to. Intelligent sounding with great personality. A few editing mishaps, but not enough to be an issue.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I would have if I could have.

Some pretty pervy parts, but by the time they came up in the story, they didn't seem so outlandish. The characters felt really real, so what they did kind of made sense. Loved Claire. The EVERY GIRL gets the guy!

Holy hell, this is one story that bends the mind and has you reaching for your significant other while wondering what this author will do to top this story. Seriously, HOT doesn't even begin to describe everything that occurs in this book. But in addition to that, it really is a very sweet story of a man who falls in love at first sight with a woman who doesn't believe he could want her. A hero willing to give the woman he loves anything even though it might kill him, a heroine who discovers beauty isn't just in the eye of the beholder, and a game that might bring them both down if they aren't careful makes Bases Loaded one spectacular story.... I can’t help it; I fell in love with the hero, Antonio (Tony) Ramirez in the first chapter. Yes, he’s a little over the top, he has no filter, and comes off a wee bit crazy but dammit, it’s hard not to love him when he falls in love at first sight and admits to it!

Clare is one of those heroines that most women as some time in their lives can identify with. She has big time body issues and a whole host of horrible memories to go with them. Teased by mean girls and women and a couple of unsuccessful romances have only proven what she feels that she isn't desirable to men. Tony has one hell of a reputation with women but the minute he sees Clare he is completely smitten and he lets her know. I love the way he tries to prove to her over and over again that he finds her desirable in a way he doesn't find other women. When he begins to make headway, Clare questions him about his membership in a secret club and requests that he help her become a member. Outrage doesn't even begin to describe his feelings on this subject...

There is so much I want to say about this book but I can’t without giving away too much of the plot. I will say that Tony does make Clare’s dreams come true in more ways than one. I think Clare learns some valuable lessons along the way and most of all she trusts Tony with her whole self. In addition, they both learn that together nothing can tear them apart...


This is the 3rd book in this series and i recommend you listen to book 1 Inside Heat, and book 2 Going Deep. Yes these book are so full of Hot Sex so if you cant handle the heat best stay away... I can't wait for the forth book !! :)

Wimpy Fat Girl Meets Bossy Baseball Player

Claire was a full figured woman who constantly whined that she was fat and ugly. Her total lack of self confidence was sad and annoying, particularly since Claire was smart, successful and kind hearted. It wasn't surprising that Claire also allowed herself to be bullied by a complete bitch.

Antonio was a cocky and immature baseball player who had a history of treating women like sex toys. In fact he was involved in a sex club that recruited women to submit to gang rape in hopes of earning jewelry and bragging rights.

While Antonio claims to fall instantly in love with Claire, his self absorbed behavior didn't match his so-called feelings. Rather than slowly getting to know her personality, he just seemed obsessed with her tits and ass.

When Claire wanted to participate in the sex club - somehow she thought degrading herself with strangers would validate her sexual attractiveness - Antonio agreed to help train her body for group sex. Wow, so romantic!

I didn't find Antonio (controlling jerk) or Claire (spineless wimp) very likable or interesting, which took most of the enjoyment out of Bases Loaded.
