The story is entertaining as well as informative for these current days

Seems like it ends all too soon ! And need to move to the next book in the series!

I love this author's books.I always look for them where I'm searching for a new book.And now I will go on and read the number two book in the series

American Collapse

Book 1 - This is a well written book. It sets up our group of protagonists as America society starts to collapse. The characters are well written and have interesting backgrounds. The antagonists are also developed and everything is in place going into the 2nd book.

For this genre of books I recommend this as a read.

Master class on survival

If you know Akart’s work then this isn’t a surprise. We get the same characters, same basic set up and same basic scenario as we have seen before. Don’t take that as a bad thing, there is a reason the Bible is read and reread… it has important and timeless lessons.
If the “Empire” does fall within our lifetime, I’d say my and anyone who reads these books will owe at least part of their survival and the rebirth of civilization to Mr. Akart.

Realistic and current

Very real and likely scenarios. good narrator and storyline, Akart does his homework and always delivers a good listen! The first book set up the characters and plot. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Very good story that closely show our current times. I think the information in the story very helpful.

Good, but

This was not my favorite BA story BUT I will read the next chapter. Though thorough in introducing the characters, I feel Book 1 drug on a bit long. I am a huge BA fan and believe the next installation will pick up the pace!!!
