Resumen del Editor

Why Get Rich Slowly When You Can Cheat and Get Rich Quick?

The dimwitted characters from the classic Zandri short story, Bingo Night, return in a tale about getting rich quick, which is what Tony and Stan are all about even if their efforts get them in some serious hot water. In this new episode, the meatheads decide to cross the southern border with all the illegal aliens to collect all that free cash and all those free government goodies. Only, things don't go quite as expected when the law decides to give chase and start shooting.

From New York Times and USA Today Thriller and Shamus Award winning bestselling author Vincent Zandri comes a new series that combines thrills, action, mystery, humor, and more. For fans of Charlie Houston, Don Winslow, Jim Crumley, and more.

What would you do for a free ride?

While I haven’t read all of Vincent Zandri’s books, before reading Border Crossings I thought I had a good feel for his work having read serious psychological thrillers, adventure stories filled with action and snark, but I wasn’t expecting what I found while listening to a copy of Border Crossers. This time he took a topic out of our current reality and presented it in a most irreverent manner, through the eyes and lives of Stan and Tony, a couple of low intellect losers, who were only trying to get by any way they could until they blundered on a no fail method of getting the government to provide them with a free phone and an endless atm card.

There are no sacred cows in this story that aren’t skewered as you follow the exploits of our two “heroes” in their quest for everlasting manna from the government. I have to say I was entertained from beginning to end by the story. Like I said I listened to the audiobook narrated by virtual voice. Virtual Voice may not be a replacement for a human narrator, it is better than when I listen the eBooks using text to speech on my Kindle Fire, in the case of Border Crossings the only shortcoming was the mispronunciation of Polish as polish, otherwise it was an entertaining listening experience.

If you need a good laugh grab a copy and settle in for some belly laughs.
