Sometimes it involves walking out of the prison of your childhood and leaving the bitterness and hatred behind. And sometimes it involves living in the gap between two worlds and facing yourself, which may be the hardest of all things to face.
Portia Louder recounts her formative years along-side her brothers and sisters. She shares stories of bravery that are applicable to anyone. How do you fight despair and remain tender, generous and hopeful?
As people dig through their struggles they find truth, faith and life lessons. Manny shows tenderness towards the people who are in his former shoes. You don't have to listen too long to start cheering Manny on. The message of this book is that evil can be overcome.
