Fun and educational

Stuart Gibbs' novels are always a good, light hearted adventure with plenty of education thrown in along the way. This latest in the Charlie Thorne series is a great addition. My son is a huge Stuart Gibbs fan and loves the Fun Jungle, Spy School, and Space Base sets. He isn't as fond of Charlie Thorne, but I actually like to listen to them for something light. I'm a huge history buff and still always learn some details I never knew before. I especially like that Gibbs does not gloss over the ugly parts of history and he always has strong female characters in all his novels.

The voice the action

Really enjoyed the gripping story . Always look forward to these different stories from this author and how they weave it into real life stories

I love this book and series so much!

I love Charlie so much. Her mind, her feminism, her relationship with the other characters.The book is education and interesting and really do hope she ends up with Kenji. I can't wait for the next Charlie Thorne books by Stuart Gibbs. Thank you!!

as always, the strength of this young woman and her abilities at problem solving, encouraging all young girls to push themselves above and beyond.

Amazing for an action story…

The story is really good and the narrator does a really good job at performance. She’s really good in any audiobook. :) Though at the downfall of all action books…the story itself is getting pretty repetitive if you have read the other books. The plot is just like the other books where the bad dude turns on everyone and dies or gets defeated because they’re too stupid. The book also is horribly unrealistic. I mean it’s a children’s book/preteen, the dialogue is something that only people in action movies would say. Though the plot twists never get old and always surprise you. The plot twist is so worth it.

So overall, the actual probability of everything happening is very unrealistic, but it’s for all movies or books. The story is generic seems to be geared towards teaching the reader historical facts and natural facts too . But it’s great for a book towards tweens. The book was also very interesting to listen to, but the other books like fun jungle series from this author is so much better. Those books are genuinely fun and crazy to read. Would get this book though…😁(it’s still really fun!)

The storyline

I liked the story a lot and the performance so good too. Overall awesome book!!

He’s gotten worse

The story telling has become stale and repetitive. Same ideological tropes with Witty facts about something that happened in history and why it was bad. Narrator did her best and her performance carried this overall underwhelming story.
