Chemistry wins out

Another good book from Jae and an excellent performance from Abby Craden. A friends to lovers story that was always on the cards. Their friends and family were right all along. As usual, the narration brings all of the characters to life.

Great friends to lovers story

Jae is always my favorite. And though I still prefer Eliza and Denny’s story, the characters and how she describes Portland is so accurate and enthralling. She’s great at making unique quirky characters with realistic jobs, personalities and plot lines.

Fun Read

Really cute story of lifelong best friends finding their way to each other. Just what I needed.

Never get tired of listening to Abby Craden Read these stories. Makes me enjoy them even more. Great story I’ve listen to it more than 3 times already and won’t get tired of it.

Spellbound and amazed

loved this book. I couldn't put it down. Story was literally smoking and provocative.

Can’t deny the chemistry

Regan and Kylie have been through a lot together and have a strong friendship that appears to others as more. They decided to end the rumors with an experiment that back fires. They make an adorable couple and are always there for each other. A great friends to lovers story read by the amazing Abby Craden

Cute, sweet, and fluffy

This is my first time reading a book by Jae. The writing style is a bit different than I’m used to but I still really enjoyed it. It was a sweet, lighthearted read. You can’t go wrong with a friends to lovers trope!

I liked that the characters were just normal people with normal jobs. It felt very realistic. I also love when a book has a nice little queer friend group.

It was really weird hearing my name so much tho. I’ve never read a book where a character has the same name as me. At first it really threw me off for some reason. Maybe bc Ky is a woman and I am not. I think if I read the book instead of listened to it I wouldn’t have been bothered so much by this bc my name is spelled Kai. After a while I got used to it tho.

This is also my first time listening to a book narrated by Abby Craden. I thought she did a good job. Wasn’t my favorite narration but it was satisfactory.

Overall I thought it was a nice fluffy read. I wouldn’t say it was my favorite book but I don’t really have anything bad to say either. I will definitely be checking out more books by Jae!

This book wasn't anything special but wasn't horrible. I think its nice if you have a fantasy about hooking up with a friend. just not my thing

The bond!!

I liked having a non competed story line for once. I know most books need that to be interesting but I like the bond, relationship, and chemistry the two have. I like the pure honesty as well!!

Love Abby Craden so the voices were a bonus!!!

Best friends or best lovers?

The friendship described in this book is rare. It has survived time, distance and tribulations. These two people have been witnesses to each other’s lives. What a loss it would be if it didn’t survive romance! The revised spark is a science experiment, designed to test the hypothesis- that they have no chemistry and could therefore never be more. This is a very cute premise for a story though at times it was repetitive. That seems to be a theme with romance- the ongoing repetition of why something can’t work out between two people. It’s funny, because in real life, people often leap before they look. If you enjoy lots of angst, internal processing (out loud with narration) - another sapphic romance standard- jump in. As always with JAE, there is some warm spice worth waiting for and an HEA in the end.
