Life was supposed to be starting over for the recently widowed Sara Hill and her teenage daughter, Corrie but all she had to work with was a rundown old homestead, the only thing left to her after her late husband's estate had been settled. Could she make a sustainable life for the two of them in this remote, pioneer setting of Northern Canada in the 1950"s? Would she need outside help? How should she respond to the men who were beginning to notice her? And what of her fragile faith? Would it even be a helpful asset? Justyn Smyth had established himself well, after settling down in the rich pastureland of the Peace River Country of Northern Alberta, Canada. But he was beginning to feel a little restless. He had no one with which to intimately share his life; no one for whom to further develop the ranch. He really didn't want to go back to his former lifestyle of drifting about either but should he sell out and rebuild his life somewhere else? Or should he wait for God to send a life partner to him in this isolated place? Was there a God-blueprint just for him? Did God even care about him and his loneliness? Sometimes God brings people together geographically, without them realizing their future potential as a team. With communication such a tricky business, the choices people make, the conclusions they jump to, all result in consequences that can embrace God's plan, or alienate it. And as other people enter the picture, from one's present and past, will they bring clarity and harmony, or discord and total separation to this plan that is supposed to give us a future and a hope.
