It was interesting
The early years of Chopin’s life is vividly portrayed and was interesting just because I wasn’t that familiar with it. His happy childhood and the closeness of his family became his bittersweet memories later when war broke out in Poland while he was studying in Paris. He was unable to return home for a very long time. These memories became the impetus for much of his music. The narrative, though a bit choppy, describes pretty well how he wrote his music and performed them. His love life was varied and intense, especially with Aurore Dudevant (George Sand). It is realistically portrayed. The narrator spoke rather slowly and was not able to capture each character distinctly, so it was sometimes hard to tell which character was speaking. Overall, it was interesting but could be better.
