Resumen del Editor

Picking up where Christopher's Diary: Secrets of Foxworth leaves off, Kristin Masterwood and her boyfriend up the ante - by going into her attic to re-enact scenes described in Christopher Dollanganger's journal.

Jealousy, tragedy, survival, and revenge - the discovery of Christopher's diary in the ruins of Foxworth Hall brings new secrets of the Dollanganger family to light and obsesses a new generation. With Flowers in the Attic and Petals on the Wind both now major Lifetime TV events, the first new Dollanganger stories in nearly 30 years is a timely look at the events in the attic - from teenage Christopher's point of view.

Christopher Dollanganger was 14 when he and his younger siblings - Cathy and the twins, Cory and Carrie - were locked away in the attic of Foxworth Hall, prisoners of their mother's greedy inheritance scheme. For three long years he kept hope alive for the sake of the others. But the shocking truth about how their ordeal affected him was always kept hidden - until now.

Seventeen-year-old Kristin Masterwood is thrilled when her father's construction company is hired to inspect the Foxworth property for a prospective buyer. The once grand Southern mansion still sparks legends and half-truths about the four innocent Dollanganger children, even all these decades later. Foxworth holds a special fascination for Kristin, who was too young when her mother died to learn much about her distant blood tie to the notorious family.

Accompanying her dad to the "forbidden territory", they find a leather-bound book, its yellowed pages filled with the neat script of Christopher Dollanganger himself. Her father grows increasingly uneasy about her reading it, but as she devours the teen's story page by page, his shattering account of temptation, heartache, courage, and betrayal overtakes Kristin's every thought. And soon her obsession with the doomed boy crosses a dangerous line....

Wow!

Each of these books just expands on the original 3 books I had read 40 years ago. And Kristen reading Christopher’s diary with Kane really brought the story to life for me as well as for them. When they finally finished and decided to go see Corrine’s psychiatrist to confront him as well as receive the shocking information from the good doctor, took a lot of nerve for two high school students. The ending was definitely a shock to me! Time to move forward and start the next book.

Somewhat confused

The book is decent and the ending has a great plot twist, however, there was some key points that are massively skipped over. It’s like Seeds of Yesterday wasn’t ever written. Kristen’s father has cleared away the rubble of Foxworth Hall as it’s been abandoned since the fire that Corrine set and is building a new house on the property where Kristen finds Christopher’s diary. Not once does it mention that Bart rebuilt the mansion there and that Christopher and Cathy lived there with their adult children and grandchildren, as they did in Seeds of Yesterday. It’s like Andrew Neiderman, the ghost writer for Andrew’s, just ignored that whole book. Otherwise, Kristen would have known what happened to the two oldest Attic children. So that was disappointing.

awesome

This book allowed me to relive a childhood favorite book from another perspective. The twist at the end was unexpected, but not surprising. It was good to hear it from Christopher's perspective, but also the connection to the young lady in the story and get own self discovery frog Christopher's story is amazing. The Foxworth story will never get old.

What a twist!!!!

After my last review with the previous book I was excited to see that they did come out with another book because after the cliffhanger from the previous book I was extremely disappointed that I wouldn’t know what would happen but with this book it became clear as to what happened and it was an extreme twist I’m not gonna give away the ending but this book totally put a twist on the previous two books and I highly recommend listening to or reading this book

Great read in the tradition of VC Andrews...

This is book 2 in the series of Christopher's Diary. Relating to Flower's in the Attic. before the kids escaped Foxworth Hall all those years ago, Christopher kept a diary while they were held prisoners in the attic. More than 50 years goes by when a distant relative finds the diary and reads it.

This is a really good story from Christopher Dollanganger's Point of View. While most PoV books are dull, this book has a decent plot and I found it to actually be exciting! I fell in love with V.C. Andrews writing style over 30 years ago and I still love the writing style! I love the stories. I still keep re-reading all the series books too! I can't wait until ALL V. C. Andrews books are in audio book format!

The author, V. C. Andrews did a fantastic job capturing my interest and keeping it throughout the book. The co-narrators, Rebekkah Ross & Kirby Heyborne are really good too! I didn't find a negative thing in the entire book to say! Great read and well worth the money , as always, it's a V.C. Andrews specialty! 5 stars baby!
