So this is the book that everyone should read, because this is the book that most people don't know that they need. This is the book that will cause you to be set free, and this is the book that will allow you to see...our freedom in Christ. This book is for everyone.
You will find yourself on these pages and learn or be reminded and encouraged how you should treat yourself as a beautiful black daughter of Father God. It will also educate one on how God values us and they should as well.

As a church girl it is refreshing to feel seen in the pages you are reading! This book was a breath of fresh air and will be one I also purchase physically to continue reflecting and applying the information.

Packed with Knowledge

This book is so important for the black culture. I kept thinking if only i jad this book years ago, i know people who would have really benefited from the information. It was accurate, on the oulse, funny, real, entertaining and filled with so much information that leads to freedom. Black women should read this for sure.

I initially bought the book just to support Dr. Sarita, who I love! I was looking forward to hearing her tell stories and share more of her testimony. But as the chapters went on I realized that whether Dr. Sarita intended on it or not, God used her book to dig in deeper with this little Mexican girl from Cali, Everything from the stories and history touched my heart and more importantly, my soul. It also opened my eyes to just how many similarities there are between Black and Brown Women and our struggles, both past and current.
God used this book to remind me of His kindness &, His love. He used this book to remind me that He is longsuffering and that He will move Heaven and Earth to reach me, no matter how small and insignificant life may make me feel. Once again, thank you Dr. Sarita, thank you for your vulnerability, for your servants heart and for writing this book. -PM

A Love Letter to Black Christian Women

This book is a love letter to Black Christian Women. Dr. Sarita takes issues facing the Black Christian walk and reframes them in light of the gospel. It is so refreshing and encouraging to hear theology from this context. It's needed and necessary. Loved the reflection questions and having the author read it was so powerful. She feels like a big sister correcting you and cheering you on. Absolutely loved this book and hope to read it again in a group book club to compare our journeys and encourage each other locally.
