Great story

Need a part two to this story
I liked the story but didn’t like the cliff hanger

Not really worth the credit

Now I love Romance novels that add a good story plot. This is not the one. You know the story in the 1 st chapter. This story is definitely not the one to read during women’s history month. The main female character is not strong enough not even in her core. This did not touch my heart.

Less than stellar

I have read several books by this author and they have been much better than this one. The lead female character was supposedly a former NYPD detective yet she repeatedly ignored obvious facts regarding someone who should have been a very clear suspect early in the story. She also put herself in blatantly obvious unsafe conditions that no trained detective would have done. Thus her actions were inconsistent with her supposed former position. Also there was little development of the relationship between the two main characters to support them falling in love.

Cowboy Romance

I liked Nikki and Kurt’s story. It would have been more hotter if there was a male narrator with it, but overall it was a good short story. The excitement of the story line kept me interested. I was on edge at some points trying to figure out the reason of Nikki’s arrival.

This was just an okay read. There were some holes that I wish had been filled. I have loved the other books but this one just fell short.

Fun story but narration...

Narration style doesn't fit the characters at all. As read, the female lead is unbelievable.

I like this Story

I did enjoy the story but at some point Nickie got dumb. You are in a place where people with guns are shooting at you and men with white hoods are threatening you, using ugly words on you and you decide without telling a damned soul to go investigate when you are not fully sure of the lay of the land and who you enemies are exactly. I know there are a lot of ands in this review. Dumb, Dumb I can't say Dumb enough, I was like what the hell?. She left her back up at the apt to walk into the unknown and just about got herself dead! Really should have been dead WTF!!!! AND she was the detective? From the big city? I could not tell.... I felt like she got poor Rita killed or hurt if you could believe that scum bag. Kurt knew what he wanted and went for it which is what a man should do in my opinion plus he was a champion between the sheets so he gets several thumbs up from me...Sam was as good as Gold and there should be more people out there like her to help out others. I wish the author would have explored the oil aspect of the story more

Umm what?

Normally I really like her books. However this one, just seemed like it rambled and didn’t really have a direction. The characters weren’t really well developed, the narrator lacked depth to really pull the story together. Wouldn’t recommend.

Irrational story

I struggled through the book as this reeks of rushed mistakes I've heard in too many books of this genre. There was no depth, character development. There really was no chemistry between the characters. Nicki sucks as a detective, even a former one. Who's friend drops a victim of domestic abuse off with a virtual stranger and doesn't check up on her? the antagonist was easy to identify, a convenient trip, not so. The guy always falls madly in love on first sight with no rational reason. I purchased this based off of the reviews, but I seriously need to be more careful. This was not a good story
