Acerca de esta escucha

The #1 New York Times bestselling series continues as Mitch Rapp faces off with Russia in this high-octane installment that is “ripped straight from next week’s headlines” (The Real Book Spy).

Mitch Rapp hates owing anyone a favor—especially when it’s the world’s most powerful crime lord. But when Damian Losa calls, Mitch is honor bound to answer.

The Syrian government has created a highly addictive new narcotic that it plans to distribute throughout Europe. It’s a major threat to Losa’s business and he’s determined to stop it by any means necessary. Rapp is the perfect choice for the mission. Not only does he have extensive experience operating in the Middle East, but he’s also entirely expendable.

As he crosses into war-torn Syria, Rapp quickly discovers a shocking truth. The new drug isn’t being produced by Damascus to prop up the government’s collapsing finances. Instead, it was created by Russia’s asymmetrical warfare unit as a weapon against the West.

With far more than Damian Losa’s interests at stake, Rapp devises a desperate plan that forces him and his team onto a battlefield where the United States is virtually powerless, and allegiances shift almost hourly. Further, if Russia uncovers their plot, it will set off a confrontation between the two countries that could change the course of history in this “bullet train to high adventure” (Townhall).

Terrible narration

Narration of this book was hard to follow. The narrator did not change his voice for different characters, which made it hard to understand who was talking at the time. The story was good, but the narrator really made it hard to follow.

Characters Seem Different!!!

I had a difficult time connecting with Mitch Rapp in this book. Maybe it was the narrator, but all the characters seemed different. Like the book was written by a different author.

Disappointing

I’ve enjoyed the Mitch Rapp series. Disappointing that it has ended on such a down note.

Great story - needs a better narrator

The story, as always, was complex and entertaining. Based on the introduction, it sounds like this may be the last book in the series. I’m really hoping that isn’t the case!
The narration left much to be desired… Steven Weber should have better acquainted himself with Mitch Rapp. His voice for Mitch’s character made Mitch sound like an easy going guy you’d run into at a PTA meeting. 🤦‍♀️ Hid mispronunciations were over the top! Plus, how, in the world, can the man not know that Wagner Group is pronounced with a “V” - does he not own a television???

When Good Enough Isn't

It’s a decent book that has some cool moments. But that’s because I know the whole story. Not sure what happened to George, but his absence took a couple points off. Since this is the last book by Kyle Mills, will the new guy give us what we want? (A book That falls between Kill Shot and Transfer of Power.) I know that Term Limits falls in there, but Rapp wasn't in it, and he was doing a lot during that time. (We've only read a few hints about what it was.) And George must be back for that one if it ever happens because no one does Rapp and Hurley like George Guidall!.

It was ok. Narrator, not so much.

Bring back George Guidall. Storyline was ok, nothing super great, nothing super bad. The narrator though was not good and it made it difficult to listen to. Might have been better with George Guidall.

George is Mitch!!

I understand things happen the way they do… But NO ONE can play MR the way George did… My personal account. Steven Weber‘s reading of Mitch Rapp is a 1 out of 10… If he continues to read in the future, I’m done.
