The brutal honesty we need to hear.

Educating yourself about modern, 21st Century racial inequality is essential. And I love that books like this are coming out that give you the hard truth, plus the context, the history and the numbers to back it up. This book is direct, and I learned a ton. Great narration as well.

Love

Racism is the worst sin of all. We need to love each other no matter what. There is only one race, the human race. This book was very eye opening. I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for a close friend of the opposite race lifting his hand out to me. I hope I can do the same. Good narration on this book.

Enlightening

Extremely deep and enlightening. The author brings up great questions and has a very thorough understanding of race and history. This is a must-read for young adults up to grandparents if you want to have an understanding of colorblind laws. The narrator's voice is also very engaging and has great pacing.

Critical Insights for Establishing Racial Equality

This was sent to me by a friend who had listened, and felt it had expanded her perspectives on racial inequality significantly. After listening, my experience was the same. Colorblind addresses the issue of being "Colorblind", an attitude where individuals of privilege ultimately end up doing nothing to resolve the wealth/justice gap between themselves, and black America. This book breaks down ways that you can responsibly engage this discussion, and avenues of approach to help heal and rebuild these damaging and neglectful cultures of thought.

I appreciate being shown the ways that my own patterns of thought have been detrimental and toxic to the culture gap in America, and plan to not only continue informing myself, but taking action at each appropriate opportunity.

The dark side of US racism

Once I heard Naom Chomsky said that the US has always had a higher level of racism comparing to Europe, this book speaks about the American history and the wealth huge gap and also the dark side of racism history and the black community in the US, I've learned many facts which are unfortunately sad ones but still good to be aware of the past to create a brighter future ... I hooooope ... 5 stars from me

Powerful- must read!!!

Where do I even begin? This is the book that everyone needs to read so we can take the blinders off and address the racial wealth gap in America. As, the author says, "If you don't see the problem, how can you help resolve it?" No matter the color of your skin, we are all either helping or contributing to this problem. This book gives all of us the tools we need to start taking action today to create positive change- and more than that, it helps us to truly understand the issue by going into the history and evolution of this problem into today's society. This book is so powerfully written and the narrator does a tremendous job in representing this information with a very powerfully tranquil conviction- must read!
