He argues that there are valuable lessons to be learned from past years, when Congress worked better than it does now. Offering history, politics, and personal reflections all at once, this book will appeal to everyone interested in understanding America of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Really makes you yern for a real President again.

A fascinating look at presidents from Lyndon Johnson through Barack Obama.
Extremely well written. Enough detail to be very educational piece, yet a style that makes it easy to read and enjoy. The narrator is clear and pleasant and does an excellent of becoming the voice of the author.

Great Listen !!

I downloaded the Kindle book on a free promo and was happily astonished to find an involving, expertly written story. This guy knows how to write in first person and build scenes tangible enough for the reader to stand and look around in.. The psychic connections and miraculous occurrences at the end kind of came out of left field, but by that time. I had. become so engrossed in the angst that I bought into all of it.
