Imagine ...

A pep talk for how to squash other human beings rather than inspire w creativity. If I were a creature who knew nothing of creativity, I think I would rather study tax law after hearing this authors take on humanity's greatest capability. The reader on the other hand was brilliant. She can stay.

Can’t get passed computer narration

This was my first disappointing book from audible. The stilted computer narration made it impossible to engage in the actual material of the book. Most people who listen to books are interested in the quality of the narration, quite possibly are auditory learners. I’ll be careful to sample the audio before my next purchase.

Robotic Narration

What disappointed you about Creativity: Creative Block Solutions to Rebuild Creative Confidence and Productivity?

The narration is so flat and robotic, it unfortunately makes this book sadly boring and difficult to pay attention to, less than 5 minutes in.

Has Creativity: Creative Block Solutions to Rebuild Creative Confidence and Productivity turned you off from other books in this genre?

Yes if this is how they are typically narrated. But this is the first time i've encountered this problem within this particular genre, and it's important to me, so i will continue to try books within the genre. I feel it is important to mention, as well, that the genre covers the type of topics that require compassion, gentle reassurance, or at the very least a matter-of-fact narration, that helps illuminate the content with no frills. The Narrator of Art and Fear, by David Bayles and Ted Orland, comes to mind here, for appropriate narration of this type of genre.

What didn’t you like about Andrea Erickson’s performance?

She sounds computer generated and flat. Apple's Siri, is more emotive.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It's unfortunate because it may be a good book really, but i almost instantly couldn't stand listening to it. I may have to try it in print and amend my review if necessary. Apologies to the narrator, this is not at all a judgement of her character.

I'm, sadly, disappointed, i was quite excited by the topic and synopsis of this book.

Poorly read book.

A somewhat interesting book, but poorly read with a near monotone voice and at a too fast pace. The author calls all creative people “men or he.” I would never buy this book or listen to it again.
