DESPRE AUDIOBOOK

A ținut cursuri ca profesor invitat la Harvard University și a colaborat cu numeroase publicații prestigioase, printre care People, Time, Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology, Psychology Today, Publishers Weekly, Journal of Transpersonal Psychology, Observer, American Journal of Psychotherapy, Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology sau Journal of Applied Behavioral Science.

Historia
When two Stanford graduate students set out to create a new kind of cigarette that wouldn’t kill them, they didn’t foresee all the obstacles that lay ahead — or the powerful forces their invention would unleash. Nearly 10 years after the launch of the JUUL, Backfired: The Vaping Wars asks: Could e-cigarettes have been the solution to one of the world’s most pressing public health problems—or was this technology doomed to introduce a whole new generation to nicotine, and end up perpetuating an intractable addiction?

We are in the midst of a global mental health crisis, and mental illnesses are on the rise. But what causes mental illness? And why are mental health problems so hard to treat? Drawing on decades of research, Harvard psychiatrist Dr. Chris Palmer outlines a revolutionary new understanding that for the first time unites our existing knowledge about mental illness within a single framework: mental disorders are metabolic disorders of the brain. Brain Energy will transform the field of mental health, and the lives of countless people around the world.
