Resumen del Editor

FITTING IN AT A NEW SCHOOL IS HARD....

WHEN YOU’RE NOT HUMAN ANYMORE

A mysterious plague is sweeping across the Great Plains, one that grants the ability to shape-shift - but with it comes an insatiable hunger for fresh meat.

Sixteen-year-old Mia is Infected, but she’s a special case. Thanks to a strange genetic mutation, she not only has abilities other werewolves don’t possess, her blood might be the key to a vaccine.

For Mia and many of the Infected, shape-shifting is a curse. Others, the Bad Dogs, revel in their new powers. For them, humans no longer belong at the top of the food chain. The Bad Dogs don’t want any vaccine, and they have a plan to end human dominance forever.

Organized, powerful, and relentless, they’re willing to do anything for their cause - like abducting a busload of Mia's classmates.

Mia must enlist the help of her teenage werewolf pack in a desperate gamble to rescue her friends, maybe even save the world.

If you love stories with plucky teenage heroes, wild chase scenes, and the fate of the world hanging in balance, you'll love dawn of the deadly fang!

Even Better than the First Book

You expect an author to kick the stakes up a notch in the first sequel to a novel, but in Dawn of the Deadly Fang, T. James Logan jumped over the first notch and took the plot all the way up to “eleven”. While in the first book, the focus on the werewolf threat made it look like a mostly local problem, the sequel makes it clear that the monsters pose a national—if not global—threat. The danger is greatly enhanced by the fact that these supernatural creatures are not just monsters mindlessly howling and killing people on the night of the full moon, they are experienced military and law enforcement personnel who have lost their moral compass as a result of contracting lycanthropy. They have come to believe that humans need to be knocked off the top of the food chain and into the cattle pens to serve as sheep for the new alpha predators.

In the middle of this (still secretly) evolving menace is Mia—the teenager whose DNA appears to hold the key to the lycanthropy pandemic. Her mother is completely immune to the disease, but Mia is infected but not expressing the disease like other lycanthropes. So, she’s being poked, prodded, and tested in a relationship that has become so antagonistic with her doctors that she starts hiding key developments from them—her ability to finally shape change and her unique ability to halt the transformation halfway.

The novel focuses on a global movement by werewolves to paralyze national governments through strikes on critical personnel and infrastructure. Since the knowledge of the existence of werewolves is not yet widespread in those governments, the creatures have been able to infiltrate everywhere simply by infecting people. The final move is to try and capture/kill Mia to prevent the government from using her to develop a vaccine or cure. How do you get your hands on a highly protected teenaged girl? Kidnap a busload of her friends and get her to come to you. But Mia isn’t as stupid as the bad guys think she is, and she’s got a lot of help. Too bad she doesn’t know that her friends are a sideshow toward the real plan—destruction of all human authority in the United States.

If you enjoyed the first book in this series, you’re certain to enjoy Dawn of the Deadly Fang.

Loved this book

This is book 2 in the Lycanthrope Trilogy. This is a very well written story with well developed characters. A hard book to put down. So far I have loved this series and I’m looking forward to the next book. I definitely recommend reading. (I received this book as an arc and am leaving a voluntary honest review)
I also ended up listening to this through audible as well. I loved the story and decided I would go through it a 2nd time as well while working and was able to listen via an audible version that I received as an arc. The narrator did a great job. I would recommend reading or listening. (This is a voluntary honest review)

Great dystopian with a twist!

This was book 2 of the Lycanthrope trilogy and like book 1 , it is filled with interesting and relatable characters. I love how the author develops these teenagers and gives them a curse that they must learn to live with, but also hope for the future. Once again, there is a great story world and well developed characters. If you like dystopian, especially with a twist, you'll definitely enjoy this book!

Really raised the stakes!

I was looking forward to listening to this, because I liked the first one a lot. I definitely was not disappointed. The characters, both returning and new, continue to be well done. The plot continued to be believable and boy did it raise the stakes. The narrator also deserves a shout-out, as she did a great job again too. Really eager to see how the author finishes out this series!

Teenage Werewolves on the Attack!

The action in book two is even better than “Night of the Hidden Fang”, and I didn’t think that was possible. Mia now has her own wolfpack and newly discovered special abilities. When a bus load of high school kids on their way to a play are kidnapped by an organized pack of (bad dogs) werewolves made up of military and police. Mia’s pack with the help of her aunt Sarah comes face to face with a force that’s determined to destroy the United States and replace humans with werewolves… they think Mia’s abilities can help make that possible.

Kidnapping the bus is just a smokescreen for their real objective, but for Mia freeing her friends on that bus is the number one priority. As with the first audiobook, Becky Parker provides the excellent narration. I’m looking forward to where T. James Logan takes us in book three. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

A teen and her small pack against the apocalypse

This book keeps you hooked. It is way more gruesome than I usually go for, but it is very thorough and creates a realistic werewolf apocalypse from the ground up and kept me listening to the end.

Interesting read

Interesting read. A mysterious plague is turning people into shapeshifting werewolves. At 16, Mia is bitten but her mutation is special, giving her capabilities that other werewolves don't have thanks to something in her genetics, and possibly presenting a vaccine. Some are using this curse in an attempt to gain dominance over humans, the Bad Dogs, and do not want a vaccine. Who can be trusted amidst all the chaos? Get ready for a lot of action with Mia and her pack of teenage werewolf friends in Dawn of the Deadly Fang. Great narration in the audiobook; really great and pretty creepy when talking as the werewolves.

world change

stakes are high in this book as Mia doesn't just face off against Slade but of the "bad dogs" (one who believe that they are the top of the food chain).
