And when a young maid is found dead, floating in the shimmering waters of the cove, Cressida knows time is running out to catch the killer. Could a clue hidden among some rather pungent crab sandwiches help her solve the case before there is another murder?

A great listen just for entertainment. Not real deep but just what I need! Love you characters and settings

Standout lady sleuth shines through the 1920s

If you need a cheery boost and some historical sleuthing, turn to Cressida, her friend Dottie, and winsome pug Ruby. If deep disturbing crime is your fancy, you will be disappointed. This is an adventurous mystery with a confident lady you’d like to be friends with in real life. ;-)

A pure teeth grinder boredom unlimited.

I made it to chapter 11. By that time I wanted to scream get on with it. If I heard one more description of her dog! However I will admit he was the only good character, or being named Ruby guess it was female. But the author had a good plot start of proceeding if it was not hampered by useless details. At times I had hope with the description of the busy body and the reporter. I guess I could say author had hope if she stuck to business. And had some early hints of motive. And I remember what Anthony Trollope said in his bio. If he created the characters the plot and story will happen.
