Not as good as rest of the series
Sorry but this book is not that great. I have been a fan since the beginning but this book is a filler for the next one and could have been half the size.

Love this series
This series has kept me riveted through 13 books. The universe is expansive and full of places for the story to roam. I like Zack the main character comes across as a great leader who works hard and takes care of his people. I am impressed with the inventiveness of the author also, each book has been amazingly fresh and the story drives forward at a good pace. Bravo

Build up to book 14
Book 13 is a great build after Zac entered hegemony and returns to find war. A lot more insight into other characters, but the boom feels like a build up. While I thoroughly enjoyed the book, it felt like a build up with no big bang (which you can tell is coming). I am craving more adventure, progress, and chaos we come to expect from Zac and the team.

My favorite series
Holy crap the large scale battles are an awesome addition. It's like the series has cultivated it's way up to the next level. I wish I won the lottery so I could fund a TV show of this series

Excellent and enjoyable- just kind felt like a prequel to the main event.
