Duty Binds, Love Defies – The Tug of Two Worlds.
As Duke William Norrington stands poised between duty and desire, an unexpected encounter challenges every rule he's lived by. Will he honor the betrothal set since childhood, or will the spirited Lady Sarah lead him to defy everything for love?
In the midst of the glittering Regency era, Duke William Norrington is bound by duty to an arranged match that promises to solidify family alliances. But his world is turned upside down when he meets Lady Sarah Robinson, a woman as free-spirited as she is enchanting. As William grapples with the expectations of his title and the whispers of his heart, he finds himself in an agonizing dilemma: uphold the responsibilities of his lineage, or follow the yearnings for a love unscripted by society.
"Defying The Lady" unfolds a stirring tale of romance, honor, and the pursuit of happiness, where the path of true love is fraught with societal expectations and the most challenging decision is the one that comes from the heart. "Defying The Lady" is the third story in The Norrington Collection.

Charming story
This is another lovely addition to The Lady series. It is Book 20 of the series and the story focuses on William Norrington. Although quite an eligible bachelor, he has successfully avoided the marriage mart. However he cannot do so for much longer, because he has a duty to fulfill. While betrothed to one from a very young age, he unexpectedly falls in love with another. Lady Sarah captures his heart from the very moment he meets her and helps her out when she is stranded on the road with a broken carriage. The more time he spends with Sarah and gets to know her, the more he is drawn to her. The story is filled with twists and turns as William struggles between duty and love.
The story was well-written with charming characters. I listened to this as an audiobook and enjoyed the narration, which helped bring the story to life. Looking forward to the next one!
