Entscheidend ist, was den ersten Schüssen vorausgegangen ist." Grossartige Erzählung
Die dramatischen Tage werden eindringlich und doch mit neutraler Distanz beschrieben. Seit ich denken kann, wurden die Deutschen als Monster beschrieben. Dass es so viele Verhandlungsversuche seitens Hitlers gab, die Polen bösartig waren, die Engländer kriegsgeil und Roosevelt den ihm bekannten Hitler-Stalin-Pakt weder den Polen noch den Engländern mitteilte, wurde mir weder im Geschichtsunterricht noch durch die Medien vermittelt. Auch dass Hitler nach seinem Sieg bereit gewesen war, Polen bis auf Danzig wieder zu verlassen, war mir nicht klar.
Stimmt eigentlich irgendetwas, das ich glaube, oder basiert mein gesamtes Weltbild auf einer Aufeinanderreihung von Lügen?
