"Wenn wir die Natur nicht bewahren und beschützen, sägen wir letztlich den Ast ab, auf dem wir sitzen!" Zitat Merlin. Die 14- jährige Hannah ist ein ganz normales Mädchen. Zumindest glaubt sie das! Um so überraschter ist sie, als der Brief eines Internates in Schottland sie erreicht. Darin fordert die Schulleiterin Hannahs Großmutter auf, das Mädchen unverzüglich nach 'Huntingtower Castle' zu schicken um von nun an in der Kunst der Elfenmagie unterrichtet zu werden.
Schon bald stellt sich heraus, dass das Mädchen eine überaus begabte Waldelfe ist. Sie erweist sich als unverzichtbar im Kampf gegen eine neue, skrupellose Elfengattung: DIE DUNKELELFEN, die durch einen Virus entstanden sind. Ihr mächtiger Anführer ist zudem der Präsident der Vereinigten Staaten. Rücksichtslos zerstört er die Umwelt und ignoriert den Klimawandel. Hannah und ihre Mitschüler stellen sich diesem fast aussichtslosen Kampf. Die Elfen müssen um jeden Preis verhindern, dass die Natur weiter zerstört wird. Eine magische Reise durch Raum und Zeit beginnt...
